Narrative:
I was the PF and was about to flare. The aircraft suddenly started aggressively banking from side to side. I was unsure why it was doing that and tried to level the wings. I was so distracted with the banking that I did not flare. The captain told me the banking was due to wing tip vortices/wake turbulence. He wrote the event up as a hard landing for maintenance to review.better situational awareness and preparation to deal with wake turbulence [is suggested].
