Narrative:

Immediately after rotation on takeoff on runway 24L at lax, large black birds flew right to left into path of aircraft. One bird went into intake of #2 engine. Lost .10 on err N1 fluctuated plus 2 percent then dropped 7 percent then stabilized back to normal. Retarded throttle 10 percent and returned to airport. Ground inspection revealed major damage to front blades of engine.

Narrative: IMMEDIATELY AFTER ROTATION ON TKOF ON RWY 24L AT LAX, LARGE BLACK BIRDS FLEW RIGHT TO LEFT INTO PATH OF ACFT. ONE BIRD WENT INTO INTAKE OF #2 ENGINE.
