Narrative:

After landing at ord runway 27L, a veh belonging to another airline (the driver being disoriented) drove on to the runway, approximately 2800' in front of me. Since I had already touched down and spoilers were extended, I had no option except attempt to avoid. The veh, a blue van, drove approximately to 1/3 the distance from edge to centerline of runway--then it veered back to the edge, but not at a fast rate, exiting the runway at the first wbound high speed taxiway. The veh was not off the runway as I passed it, having veered to the south side of 27L. Using full brakes and reverse, I was slowed, and exited 27L at the n-s taxiway. Upon exiting the runway, I again had to give way to the veh as it was proceeding west on the 27L parallel taxiway. The veh then turned in front of me on the n-s, proceeding north to where it joined the veh access roadway between the 27L parallel and the outer taxiway, and it proceeded eastbound on the roadway. It did not appear that the driver of the veh was aware of the runway incursion, or that the driver had any intention of giving way to me at the n-s taxiway. The tower was notified of the incident and given identify markings. Airport security confronted the driver and revoked the operator's permit to drive on the airport. A call to the city operations clarified the issue and I have been informed that actions will be taken to prevent future occurrences.

Title: AN AIRLINE VEHICLE ON RWY AW ACR LNDG. ACR VEERS TO SIDE TO AVOID. SECOND ENCOUNTER WITH VEHICLE ON TXWY.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG AT ORD RWY 27L, A VEH BELONGING TO ANOTHER AIRLINE (THE DRIVER BEING DISORIENTED) DROVE ON TO THE RWY, APPROX 2800' IN FRONT OF ME. SINCE I HAD ALREADY TOUCHED DOWN AND SPOILERS WERE EXTENDED, I HAD NO OPTION EXCEPT ATTEMPT TO AVOID. THE VEH, A BLUE VAN, DROVE APPROX TO 1/3 THE DISTANCE FROM EDGE TO CENTERLINE OF RWY--THEN IT VEERED BACK TO THE EDGE, BUT NOT AT A FAST RATE, EXITING THE RWY AT THE FIRST WBOUND HIGH SPD TXWY. THE VEH WAS NOT OFF THE RWY AS I PASSED IT, HAVING VEERED TO THE S SIDE OF 27L. USING FULL BRAKES AND REVERSE, I WAS SLOWED, AND EXITED 27L AT THE N-S TXWY. UPON EXITING THE RWY, I AGAIN HAD TO GIVE WAY TO THE VEH AS IT WAS PROCEEDING W ON THE 27L PARALLEL TXWY. THE VEH THEN TURNED IN FRONT OF ME ON THE N-S, PROCEEDING N TO WHERE IT JOINED THE VEH ACCESS ROADWAY BTWN THE 27L PARALLEL AND THE OUTER TXWY, AND IT PROCEEDED EBND ON THE ROADWAY. IT DID NOT APPEAR THAT THE DRIVER OF THE VEH WAS AWARE OF THE RWY INCURSION, OR THAT THE DRIVER HAD ANY INTENTION OF GIVING WAY TO ME AT THE N-S TXWY. THE TWR WAS NOTIFIED OF THE INCIDENT AND GIVEN IDENT MARKINGS. ARPT SECURITY CONFRONTED THE DRIVER AND REVOKED THE OPERATOR'S PERMIT TO DRIVE ON THE ARPT. A CALL TO THE CITY OPS CLARIFIED THE ISSUE AND I HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT ACTIONS WILL BE TAKEN TO PREVENT FUTURE OCCURRENCES.
