Narrative:
After departing bwi we intercepted J-121, southwest of norfolk. ZDC advised us we were 8-10 mi southeast of cus. Both captain and first officer VOR tuned properly, good signal, proper course selected in pdi and centered. No other facility previous to this mentioned a problem and several checks with ZJX showed our equipment reliable. ZDC declared our VOR equipment unreliable and issued radar vectors and handling to our mco destination. A maintenance ground check indicated accurate VOR equipment.
