Narrative:
Departing VFR south on runway 13 right blake island departure. After take-off; right turn to crosswind; I continued at 800 ft. Flying to the shoreline towards the fauntleroy ferry dock. Landing traffic for seatac was overhead and I maintain focus of keeping altitude at 800 ft. And visual separation from traffic. I failed to turn downwind as per VFR departure procedure before direct to ferry dock.

Title: Columbia 400 pilot reported deviating from published procedure on departure from BFI.
