Narrative:

We operated flight dfw/hou. Air carrier Z interchange with air carrier B aircraft arrived from sea with various deferred items--all air carrier B deferrals. One of the items was nbr 2 engine. Reverser imperative (placarded 3 days earlier). I assume air carrier B in sea (where placard was issued) had followed air carrier B maintenance procedures as outlined in the MEL--since they issued a placard for this item. Only air carrier a procedures had been followed. Inadvertently this flight was operated.

Title: TRANSPORT CATEGORY ACFT IS SHARED BETWEEN 2 ACR'S. THERE IS A DISCREPANCY BETWEEN THE MINIMUM EQUIPMENT LISTS OF THE 2 AIRLINES. THUS, AN UNSERVICEABLE ITEM THAT CAN BE LEGITIMATELY DEFERRED BY ONE CARRIER, MAY NOT BE DEFERRED FOR THE OTHER CARRIER, CAUSING THE ACFT TO BE CONSIDERED UNAIRWORTHY.

Narrative: WE OPERATED FLT DFW/HOU. ACR Z INTERCHANGE WITH ACR B ACFT ARRIVED FROM SEA WITH VARIOUS DEFERRED ITEMS--ALL ACR B DEFERRALS. ONE OF THE ITEMS WAS NBR 2 ENG. REVERSER IMPERATIVE (PLACARDED 3 DAYS EARLIER). I ASSUME ACR B IN SEA (WHERE PLACARD WAS ISSUED) HAD FOLLOWED ACR B MAINT PROCS AS OUTLINED IN THE MEL--SINCE THEY ISSUED A PLACARD FOR THIS ITEM. ONLY ACR A PROCS HAD BEEN FOLLOWED. INADVERTENTLY THIS FLT WAS OPERATED.
