Narrative:

ZTL 'cleared direct jessee and cleared to en route frequency'. I called company radio 131.0 and requested primary and secondary HF frequency and was given company HF frequency rather than communication radio ny. Instead of communication radio ny 11396, I used 11306. Then I gave the next two position reports on 11306 and I did not realize that the information was not passed on to ATC (it went to company operations in mia and sju) until I contacted mia ATC on VHF when approaching bours. I then realized what I had done wrong and I should have and do know better. Factors that may have contributed to my mistake: 1) the company no longer uses communication radio VHF, but when they did it was a practice to call them and ask for the primary and secondary HF in use. My call simulated that practice, but to a company VHF that took over the function of communication radio and therefore I was given 'rainbow' and other company function HF frequency. 2) although ny communication radio HF frequency was available with the flight papers, because of spacing in the printout and the way the paper ream was separated to make pages inside the clipboard, the company HF frequencys were first available to reinforce the mistake. I didn't give it much thought but I may have assumed that if the company replaced communication radio VHF functions, then HF functions were also replaced.

Title: ACR LGT SENT HIS FIRST TWO POSITION REPORTS TO COMPANY INSTEAD OF ZNY.

Narrative: ZTL 'CLRED DIRECT JESSEE AND CLRED TO ENRTE FREQ'. I CALLED COMPANY RADIO 131.0 AND REQUESTED PRIMARY AND SECONDARY HF FREQ AND WAS GIVEN COMPANY HF FREQ RATHER THAN COM RADIO NY. INSTEAD OF COM RADIO NY 11396, I USED 11306. THEN I GAVE THE NEXT TWO POSITION REPORTS ON 11306 AND I DID NOT REALIZE THAT THE INFO WAS NOT PASSED ON TO ATC (IT WENT TO COMPANY OPERATIONS IN MIA AND SJU) UNTIL I CONTACTED MIA ATC ON VHF WHEN APCHING BOURS. I THEN REALIZED WHAT I HAD DONE WRONG AND I SHOULD HAVE AND DO KNOW BETTER. FACTORS THAT MAY HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO MY MISTAKE: 1) THE COMPANY NO LONGER USES COM RADIO VHF, BUT WHEN THEY DID IT WAS A PRACTICE TO CALL THEM AND ASK FOR THE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY HF IN USE. MY CALL SIMULATED THAT PRACTICE, BUT TO A COMPANY VHF THAT TOOK OVER THE FUNCTION OF COM RADIO AND THEREFORE I WAS GIVEN 'RAINBOW' AND OTHER COMPANY FUNCTION HF FREQ. 2) ALTHOUGH NY COM RADIO HF FREQ WAS AVAILABLE WITH THE FLT PAPERS, BECAUSE OF SPACING IN THE PRINTOUT AND THE WAY THE PAPER REAM WAS SEPARATED TO MAKE PAGES INSIDE THE CLIPBOARD, THE COMPANY HF FREQS WERE FIRST AVAILABLE TO REINFORCE THE MISTAKE. I DIDN'T GIVE IT MUCH THOUGHT BUT I MAY HAVE ASSUMED THAT IF THE COMPANY REPLACED COM RADIO VHF FUNCTIONS, THEN HF FUNCTIONS WERE ALSO REPLACED.
