Engine was not producing normal power during initial climb through 2;000 feet at full power input; oil temperature and pressure indications normal during takeoff roll; but out of normal range during remainder of flight; including landing. [Requested immediate return] to obtain landing priority; since tower controller attempted to sequence our aircraft behind traffic we could not see at the moment. Landed without incident; other traffic was instructed to go around.
