Narrative:

At about XA54 going through 12,000', about 28 DME on the 179 degree radial from sju, I was navigating by my omega. I was using omega because the only usable VOR in this area is sju. My omega switched from 1/2 to 2/3 and the captain's omega still being 0/0 I reached across and set his up for 2/3. Both sets showed a left turn so I began to initiate a left turn. Now at this point I would like to deviate a little. This captain had already been kicked out of one base because everyone had refused to fly with him and had already made a name at this base. This month I, unfortunately, was stuck with him. As I initiated my left turn he began to shout and scream why did you touch my set? Why are you turning left? Tunna intersection is 61 DME from sju, can't you see? And he pointed to 61 DME written on the map. I was not using my map at this point and did not know how far point tunna was away from sju but I knew that we had set and crosschecked the points in the omega and I knew that the omega's were correct. But to avoid the numerous shouting and screaming which had preceded that month, I said ok and turned back right, heading south. About 2 mins later, sju departure told us to turn immediately to 0 degree. This could have been avoided if I had told the captain immediately after takeoff to set his omega properly. If I had checked point tunna on the map myself, and if I had not been intimidated by this captain. But, then again, how can you discuss anything with a shouting, screaming idiot.

Title: ACR FLT CREW SET UP OMEGA PROPERLY BUT FLEW IT INCORRECTLY CAUSING HEADING DEVIATION.

Narrative: AT ABOUT XA54 GOING THROUGH 12,000', ABOUT 28 DME ON THE 179 DEG RADIAL FROM SJU, I WAS NAVIGATING BY MY OMEGA. I WAS USING OMEGA BECAUSE THE ONLY USABLE VOR IN THIS AREA IS SJU. MY OMEGA SWITCHED FROM 1/2 TO 2/3 AND THE CAPT'S OMEGA STILL BEING 0/0 I REACHED ACROSS AND SET HIS UP FOR 2/3. BOTH SETS SHOWED A LEFT TURN SO I BEGAN TO INITIATE A LEFT TURN. NOW AT THIS POINT I WOULD LIKE TO DEVIATE A LITTLE. THIS CAPT HAD ALREADY BEEN KICKED OUT OF ONE BASE BECAUSE EVERYONE HAD REFUSED TO FLY WITH HIM AND HAD ALREADY MADE A NAME AT THIS BASE. THIS MONTH I, UNFORTUNATELY, WAS STUCK WITH HIM. AS I INITIATED MY LEFT TURN HE BEGAN TO SHOUT AND SCREAM WHY DID YOU TOUCH MY SET? WHY ARE YOU TURNING LEFT? TUNNA INTXN IS 61 DME FROM SJU, CAN'T YOU SEE? AND HE POINTED TO 61 DME WRITTEN ON THE MAP. I WAS NOT USING MY MAP AT THIS POINT AND DID NOT KNOW HOW FAR POINT TUNNA WAS AWAY FROM SJU BUT I KNEW THAT WE HAD SET AND XCHKED THE POINTS IN THE OMEGA AND I KNEW THAT THE OMEGA'S WERE CORRECT. BUT TO AVOID THE NUMEROUS SHOUTING AND SCREAMING WHICH HAD PRECEDED THAT MONTH, I SAID OK AND TURNED BACK RIGHT, HDG S. ABOUT 2 MINS LATER, SJU DEP TOLD US TO TURN IMMEDIATELY TO 0 DEG. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF I HAD TOLD THE CAPT IMMEDIATELY AFTER TKOF TO SET HIS OMEGA PROPERLY. IF I HAD CHECKED POINT TUNNA ON THE MAP MYSELF, AND IF I HAD NOT BEEN INTIMIDATED BY THIS CAPT. BUT, THEN AGAIN, HOW CAN YOU DISCUSS ANYTHING WITH A SHOUTING, SCREAMING IDIOT.
