Narrative:

We requested takeoff data for and departed runway 21; but did not note the displaced threshold for runway 21. Our takeoff data was based upon using that area. We departed where the taxiway meets the runway departure threshold; resulting in approximately 1;300 less runway than planned. Contributing to the situation was a lack of runway edge lighting in the threshold area giving an impression that there was nothing there to be used.
