Narrative:

Crew left ramp area after receiving taxi clearance from miami ground. Upon asking first officer about radio congestion it was revealed that first officer had not picked up departure clearance from clearance delivery. First officer was at once instructed to do so as taxi without departure clearance from clearance delivery is forbidden. First officer changed ground frequency to clearance delivery leaving no receiver tuned to ground. Captain discovered this several mins later and tuned ground frequency into command radio position. Ground controller asked why this flight had not been responding to radio calls from tower. At NOTAM did the aircraft cross a runway or deviate from original taxi clearance. Aside from the above incident, the flight departed normally.
