Narrative:

Received the ATIS at iad with the following NOTAM, taxiway whiskey closed between whiskey one and whiskey ten. A review of the airport diagram 10-9, dated 10/xx/89, was made and whiskey ten could not be located. Since we were landing on runway 1L, we asked the approach control the location of whiskey ten. His reply was, the second reverse high speed is open. Upon clearing the runway at whiskey five to proceed to the company ramp, we observed the whiskey ten taxiway is the entrance to our ramp. The bottom line is, NOTAMS should not be issued to points that cannot be defined on some publication.
