Narrative:
My aircraft was cleared for a departure from las with a climbing right turn to a northerly heading and 3;000 feet. As I was reaching an altitude of 3;000 feet and a heading of roughly north; another aircraft made a call to tower saying that we had nearly collided. At this time I looked over my right shoulder and spotted another helicopter at my altitude approximately 200 feet behind me and 100 feet to the east. As I was making my climbing right turn I believe that aircraft was making a left turn above me and to my left rear at 3;000 feet. Luckily the pilot of the other aircraft was able to see me before we collided.
