Narrative:

Filed VFR plan airport weather went down temporarily to 900 feet and 1;200 I asked for IFR and ILS. This is an old jet and the needles went intermediately after approach was started. ATC called low altitude but then I saw the ground estimate at about 2;000 feet on the altimeter. Called my mechanic to immediately fix.
