Narrative:
Flying from gso-bwi, cleared from 6000' to 10,000' at 6500-6600 miss occurred. Departure (gso) had him intermittently on radar, per supervisor I talked with by phone after landing bwi. We were never advised of VFR traffic, until after incident. The aircraft was a twin small transport, which should have operable transponder.
