Narrative:

After loading all the passenger; I went remove the manual passenger stand from the aircraft. This particular passenger stand is hard to move because of the wheels. The stand has to be pushed side to side before it goes straight. After pulling the passenger stand back we were preparing for push back. The flight attendant proceeded to try to close the door but; when the door closed only half way; I was called over. The flight attendant said the orange ball had rubbed against the cable when I was pulling the passenger stand back; which derailed the cable from the pulley. Maintenance was called to put it back on track; which caused a delay.
