Narrative:

Due to the poor design of the sun shades in the large transport, I was unable to look for traffic or read instruments. 100% of my attention was focused on keeping sun out O my eyes on morning takeoffs. This did not cause at problem that morning, but could in the future. I had to resort to taping paper to windows to keep from going blind. This angered me to the extent I became very upset and turned my 2-PLT airplane into a single pilot airplane.
