Narrative:

When flight planning for our return to the mainland from hnl, several discrepancies were noted on the flight plan. After consultation with my dispatcher, he corrected the flight plan and cancelled the original with hnl center. The route changes from plan 1 and plan 2 appeared to be only minor, and in fact, only 2 points had changed. We evidently were flying on plan 2 after receiving an 'as filed clear' from hnl center. ZLA, where the conflict in clearance occurred, was using the original plan 1. As we exited the track R577 at edsel, we contacted ZLA. He issued no clearance or radar contact statement, so we continued with position reports. As we approached elkey (R577), the controller issued an immediate right turn to 160 degrees, then 5 mins later a turn to 210 degrees. Our original heading was approximately 060 degrees. After several mins and what appeared to be radio reception problems, we questioned the turns. He informed us we were approaching restr airspace. The turns prevented us from entering the space. His flight plan readout showed us turning at edsel direct ficky, which would have kept us south of restr space. Our flight plan had us straight into the restr area by going edsel, edtoo, elkey, sxc. A conflict almost occurred! The controllers quick actions saved the integrity of the restr airspace--that we had no NOTAMS for showing the airspace in use. Our company has been notified of the flight planning problems, and when changes are made I will confirm all parties are communicating.

Title: ACR WDB TRACK DEVIATION AT THE END OF EXTENDED OVERWATER FLT.

Narrative: WHEN FLT PLANNING FOR OUR RETURN TO THE MAINLAND FROM HNL, SEVERAL DISCREPANCIES WERE NOTED ON THE FLT PLAN. AFTER CONSULTATION WITH MY DISPATCHER, HE CORRECTED THE FLT PLAN AND CANCELLED THE ORIGINAL WITH HNL CENTER. THE ROUTE CHANGES FROM PLAN 1 AND PLAN 2 APPEARED TO BE ONLY MINOR, AND IN FACT, ONLY 2 POINTS HAD CHANGED. WE EVIDENTLY WERE FLYING ON PLAN 2 AFTER RECEIVING AN 'AS FILED CLR' FROM HNL CENTER. ZLA, WHERE THE CONFLICT IN CLRNC OCCURRED, WAS USING THE ORIGINAL PLAN 1. AS WE EXITED THE TRACK R577 AT EDSEL, WE CONTACTED ZLA. HE ISSUED NO CLRNC OR RADAR CONTACT STATEMENT, SO WE CONTINUED WITH POS RPTS. AS WE APCHED ELKEY (R577), THE CTLR ISSUED AN IMMEDIATE RIGHT TURN TO 160 DEGS, THEN 5 MINS LATER A TURN TO 210 DEGS. OUR ORIGINAL HDG WAS APPROX 060 DEGS. AFTER SEVERAL MINS AND WHAT APPEARED TO BE RADIO RECEPTION PROBS, WE QUESTIONED THE TURNS. HE INFORMED US WE WERE APCHING RESTR AIRSPACE. THE TURNS PREVENTED US FROM ENTERING THE SPACE. HIS FLT PLAN READOUT SHOWED US TURNING AT EDSEL DIRECT FICKY, WHICH WOULD HAVE KEPT US S OF RESTR SPACE. OUR FLT PLAN HAD US STRAIGHT INTO THE RESTR AREA BY GOING EDSEL, EDTOO, ELKEY, SXC. A CONFLICT ALMOST OCCURRED! THE CTLRS QUICK ACTIONS SAVED THE INTEGRITY OF THE RESTR AIRSPACE--THAT WE HAD NO NOTAMS FOR SHOWING THE AIRSPACE IN USE. OUR COMPANY HAS BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE FLT PLANNING PROBS, AND WHEN CHANGES ARE MADE I WILL CONFIRM ALL PARTIES ARE COMMUNICATING.
