Narrative:

Had to make a go-around on runway 36L at charlotte to miss a hawk at 300' AGL. On go-around, tower instructed to make a climbing left turn to 270 degree and 3000' MSL. While leveling at 3000 and turning through 300 degree there was a commuter (twin engine) at 12 O'clock level. We made a sharp 60 degree bank left turn to avoid possible collision. The twin was on departure from charlotte runway 36R, heading 270 degree. Neither tower nor the approach control frequency we were sent to after the go-around told us about the conflicting traffic.
