Narrative:

Departed MHZ (mildenhall AFB uk) on charter west/O complete ATC clearance. Obtained clearance from london central before entering controled airspace. Copilot asked MHZ for clearance and received departure instructions, but not a full ATC route clearance. A bit confusing as this reporter was on his first trip as captain! The british do some strange things and call things by different names. A bit confusing. I don't believe any violation was committed, but I thought the copilot had obtained a clearance per SOP, but he only got a partial clearance.

Title: ACR WDB DEPARTED A FOREIGN MILFAC WITHOUT COMPLETE ATC CLRNC.

Narrative: DEPARTED MHZ (MILDENHALL AFB UK) ON CHARTER W/O COMPLETE ATC CLRNC. OBTAINED CLRNC FROM LONDON CENTRAL BEFORE ENTERING CTLED AIRSPACE. COPLT ASKED MHZ FOR CLRNC AND RECEIVED DEP INSTRUCTIONS, BUT NOT A FULL ATC ROUTE CLRNC. A BIT CONFUSING AS THIS RPTR WAS ON HIS FIRST TRIP AS CAPT! THE BRITISH DO SOME STRANGE THINGS AND CALL THINGS BY DIFFERENT NAMES. A BIT CONFUSING. I DON'T BELIEVE ANY VIOLATION WAS COMMITTED, BUT I THOUGHT THE COPLT HAD OBTAINED A CLRNC PER SOP, BUT HE ONLY GOT A PARTIAL CLRNC.
