Narrative:

While at cruise at FL380; the fas called and reported odor of smoke in cabin and said it was getting worse. We started smoke/fire/fumes on aircraft checklist and notified ATC that we were diverting to ZZZ. Upon landing at ZZZ; we exited the runway and shut down the engines and fire rescue performed a check of the aircraft. Upon being cleared by fire rescue; we taxied to the gate and deplaned the passengers and crew. Fire rescue then performed a cabin inspection and were unable to identify the source.
