Narrative:

At near touchdown a gusty crosswind lifted the aircraft 10 feet and pushed it off the runway. We were already below the power curve and unable to go-around for fear the aircraft could stall or lose directional control. We rolled down a steep embankment at the edge of the runway into a dry water retention area. There were no injuries or damage to property. The aircraft suffered minor nose wheel damage and the prop stuck the soil.
