Narrative:

After establishing radio voice contact with ind ARTCC on frequency 128.8, interference from what seemed to be a public service radio transmitter began to occur. I distinctly heard the words 'dispatch' and 'street' in one transmission. There were several xmissions from this source as we climbed. It was not clear enough to understand all of the words to identify the source, but was a very strong carrier and quite active (busy). I informed ATC of the radio interference, was advised by ind ARTCC that interference may be due to WX conditions, and advised to contact ind ARTCC on frequency 134.6. After changing over to 134.6, assigned frequency, the radio interference was not noticed. My first officer advised me that this interference happens 'all the time' in that area and on 128.8. He had experience over that route for approximately 3 weeks, under varying WX conditions. This type of interference could easily be detrimental to the safety of aircraft flying north of ind.
