The widebody transport was deviating north around thunderstorms prior to the incident. Widebody transport had turned south and was descending to 6000'. Traffic was called at 12 O'clock and 4 mi opposite direction, type and altitude unknown. Widebody transport pilot reported the traffic was a twin (aircraft a) and that aircraft a took evasive action.

Narrative: THE WDB WAS DEVIATING N AROUND TSTMS PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT. WDB HAD TURNED S AND WAS DESCENDING TO 6000'. TFC WAS CALLED AT 12 O'CLOCK AND 4 MI OPPOSITE DIRECTION, TYPE AND ALT UNKNOWN. WDB PLT REPORTED THE TFC WAS A TWIN (ACFT A) AND THAT ACFT A TOOK EVASIVE ACTION.
