Narrative:
Army helicopter was cleared to depart to the west, but departed east. Before realizing mistake, the helicopter drifted across the departure end of the active runway. I had to deviate from the SID (vny 5) to avoid a collision with the helicopter.

Title: DEPARTING ACR HAS A NMAC WITH A MIL HELICOPTER ON TKOF.
Narrative: ARMY HELI WAS CLRED TO DEPART TO THE W, BUT DEPARTED E. BEFORE REALIZING MISTAKE, THE HELI DRIFTED ACROSS THE DEP END OF THE ACTIVE RWY. I HAD TO DEVIATE FROM THE SID (VNY 5) TO AVOID A COLLISION WITH THE HELI.
