Narrative:
Taxiing to 22R. Holding short of east on B. Ground put an air carrier in front of us and told us to follow them. We followed the air carrier across 22L and ground got mad. 22L was closed at the time. Ground said we did not have clearance to cross a runway. Pretty sure a closed runway is not a runway.

We followed the air carrier across 22L and Ground got mad. 22L was closed at the time. Ground said we did not have clearance to cross a runway. Pretty sure a closed runway is not a runway.
