Received wbound common clearance portion from hopeville to chibougaman, mt. We flew to mt as on arrival. At mt, we proceeded as per flight plan route. When indeed we should have flown on J545 yvo etc instead we flew J597 yxi, vkg/n481f390 J558YXU. Montreal just cleared us direct yxu. We were a relatively inexperienced crew going across, the copilot his 1ST trip and the captain and I only our 3RD trip.
