Narrative:

After finishing flight in july at XA30, myself and the copilot checked in at the hotel in rochester, ny. We proceeded to have a few beers and a sandwich. Without realizing it (not really paying attention to the time) we ended up staying (at the bar) until XB00. Although we had an xh am report, we did not takeoff until XJ45 am because of a mechanical problem. We feel we may have been in violation of FARS. A passenger who saw us on the flight the next day remarked on this and asked for our flight # and names. This passenger was also in the bar the night before. Although this passenger seemed very happy with the flight and said this was the reason for asking for flight # and names, I became concerned.
