Narrative:

We were holding short of runway 12L for runway 17 at D. The plane was power steering on the rudder pedals instead of a tiller, so I told my first officer it was his plane and that we were holding short of 12L for 17. Tower told us to taxi across 12L and position and hold 17. As we were crossing 12L we were then cleared for immediate takeoff runway 17. At that point I looked up and saw a turboprop on final for 12R, then I looked down in the cockpit to perform the final items. By the time I looked up again my first officer had taxied onto runway 12R. Tower had the turboprop go around. Obviously I am at fault, however there were some contributing factors. One of these was the mistake made by the first officer. Another was the construction taking place at the intersection of these runways. The markings are confusing. Finally, something that the controller told me later on the phone, he forgot to tell us to hold short of 12R when we were told to position and hold 17. This probably would have clued in my first officer. I had my head inside at a very inappropriate time, plain and simple.

Title: LTT TAXIES ONTO RWY IN FRONT OF LNDG TRAFFIC, LNDG TRAFFIC GOES AROUND.

Narrative: WE WERE HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 12L FOR RWY 17 AT D. THE PLANE WAS POWER STEERING ON THE RUDDER PEDALS INSTEAD OF A TILLER, SO I TOLD MY F/O IT WAS HIS PLANE AND THAT WE WERE HOLDING SHORT OF 12L FOR 17. TWR TOLD US TO TAXI ACROSS 12L AND POSITION AND HOLD 17. AS WE WERE XING 12L WE WERE THEN CLRED FOR IMMEDIATE TKOF RWY 17. AT THAT POINT I LOOKED UP AND SAW A TURBOPROP ON FINAL FOR 12R, THEN I LOOKED DOWN IN THE COCKPIT TO PERFORM THE FINAL ITEMS. BY THE TIME I LOOKED UP AGAIN MY F/O HAD TAXIED ONTO RWY 12R. TWR HAD THE TURBOPROP GO AROUND. OBVIOUSLY I AM AT FAULT, HOWEVER THERE WERE SOME CONTRIBUTING FACTORS. ONE OF THESE WAS THE MISTAKE MADE BY THE F/O. ANOTHER WAS THE CONSTRUCTION TAKING PLACE AT THE INTXN OF THESE RWYS. THE MARKINGS ARE CONFUSING. FINALLY, SOMETHING THAT THE CTLR TOLD ME LATER ON THE PHONE, HE FORGOT TO TELL US TO HOLD SHORT OF 12R WHEN WE WERE TOLD TO POSITION AND HOLD 17. THIS PROBABLY WOULD HAVE CLUED IN MY F/O. I HAD MY HEAD INSIDE AT A VERY INAPPROPRIATE TIME, PLAIN AND SIMPLE.
