Narrative:

Approaching 35R at den, tower advised aircraft at 35 left/right of rerouting. East departures rerouted north. South and southeast departures on 35L rerouted south with 25 NM separation. Previous aircraft were cleared into position and hold runway 35R and told that takeoff clearance would be granted upon receipt of clearance. Widebody transport X was position and hold 35R. New clearance issued, readback acknowledged by tower. I.e., clearance correct, widebody transport cleared for takeoff. Acknowledged cleared to go. After takeoff heading of 010 degree issued. Two days later captain notified of alleged takeoff without clearance. Apparently takeoff clearance was for another company aircraft on runway 35L. Captain and first officer were unaware of any deviation.
