Narrative:
On takeoff at 80 KTS the engine fail light illuminated. Reject was initiated by the captain in accordance with standard procedures with a maximum speed attained of 90 KTS. After clearing the runway; level 2 select fadec altitude illuminated in number 3. Checklist was accomplished before taxiing back to the ramp.

Title: MD-11 flight crew rected takeoff at 80 KTS due to ENG FAIL light illuminated.
Narrative: On takeoff at 80 KTS the ENG FAIL light illuminated. Reject was initiated by the Captain in accordance with standard procedures with a maximum speed attained of 90 KTS. After clearing the runway; Level 2 SELECT FADEC ALT illuminated in Number 3. Checklist was accomplished before taxiing back to the ramp.
