On the date and time in question, I was operating an small aircraft and in the area of gai. We were landing in an open area of residential subdivision, after calling ahead and having another person meet us. After landing and about 2 hours later, just before departing, we were informed that we were trespassing on private property and the FAA was called. The FAA is now investigating the report to see if our approach to landing and departure were made in a safe manner. Both our approach to landing and departure were made over open area and not any buildings or people.
