Narrative:

Captain flying widebody transport ATIS stated to expect localizer only approach to 9L circle to 13. Captain had entered into FMC after honoe intersection direct to runway 13 final approach course. While I was looking for the 9L localizer frequency the captain had executed the commands on the computer. When I had looked up to ask the captain which frequency he wanted dialed in, the aircraft had departed the bsy 019 degree radial. Mia approach control got excited and asked which NAVAID we were using. The captain realized his mistake and told me to ask for a heading. Mia approach issued a 180 degree heading and the rest of the approach was completed without incident.

Title: TRACK DEVIATION ON ARR.

Narrative: CAPT FLYING WDB ATIS STATED TO EXPECT LOC ONLY APCH TO 9L CIRCLE TO 13. CAPT HAD ENTERED INTO FMC AFTER HONOE INTXN DIRECT TO RWY 13 FINAL APCH COURSE. THE CAPT REALIZED HIS MISTAKE AND TOLD ME TO ASK FOR A HDG. MIA APCH ISSUED A 180 DEG HDG AND THE REST OF THE APCH WAS COMPLETED WITHOUT INCIDENT.
