Narrative:

During climb 'right wing overheat' annunciator light came on steady. I proceeded using the emergency checklist to resolve the issue. I alerted center of the annunciator light and that I needed to deviate. Center offered a return to the departure airport and I accepted. The annunciator light did not extinguish during the return to the airport until the taxi off of the runway.
