Narrative:

VFR flight was being conducted from long beach to san jose. Routing was to pass thru lax VFR corridor, navigating on smo R132 degree at 4500' with transponder at 1201. This was followed precisely, and after reaching smo I felt I had successfully transitioned the lax TCA and could proceed VFR to ventura VOR as indicated by V107. Wrong! It reenters the TCA with a base of 4000'. Conclusion: the job is not done after following the first set of complex instructions perfectly. After incursion realized, northeast course change - done to exit.
