Narrative:

During cruise flight at FL240; captain's windshield cracked. I advised ATC of incident and declared emergency. I asked for nearest large airport and was advised that one was ahead by 20+/- miles. [I] pulled out raytheon emergency checklist for BE200; followed procedures as published. With autopilot on; I moved from left seat to right seat so I could see out of windshield and fly airplane. Descended in and flew ILS approach to runway 28L and landed without incident.
