Narrative:

Enroute to ase; ATIS was listing approach as localizer DME-east and I selected that in the FMS with the ajaxx IAP. We were going direct to dbl and approach control asked if we could do the afore mentioned approach from dbl and I said we could. As we were still heading to dbl the ilot flying briefed the approaches with the mandatory altitudes while I flew the aircraft. When we were cleared for the approach I discovered that the fixes on the approach briefed were not the same as those in the approach selected in the FMS. We told approach control that we were breaking off the approach and wanted to hold at dbl while we solved the approach conflict. Approach control cleared us direct to dbl and gave us holding instructions. I had a bit of difficulty putting direct dbl in the FMS and approach control gave us vectors and we were able to set up the direct off the manual holding pattern. Enroute to the holding pattern we were able to find the correct approach in the FMS which was listed as the localizer circling approach. Approach control vectored us for the final approach course and descended us and the airported was sighted as we intercepted the course. Landed without problem. FMS should not have approaches that we do not have the approach plates for and when the approach is briefed it should be checked against the approach that is in the FMS. Pilot not flying should also crosscheck the approach plate against the FMS approach. The approach names in the FMS should be the same as the names in the FMS.

Title: CE680 flight crew reports being cleared for the LOC DME-E to ASE from DBL. After being cleared for the approach it is discovered the FMC approach procedure does not match the chart procedure and holding is requested to sort things out. The correct approach procedure is listed in the FMC as the LOC Circling approach which is then accomplished.
