Narrative:

While at FL210 we had a few caution lights go off in the advisory panel; including the left AC gen and left tru. Also the cabin pressurization lights and the fuel tank/temp flickered up and down rapidly. As the pilot flying; I called for the left AC gen checklist and the pilot monitoring followed through with the procedures on the book. The checklist directed the left AC gen to be turned off; this stopped the flickering of the gauges. The engines gauges were normal the entire time. As there was bad weather in the vicinity; we decided it was best to divert to the nearest airport. An emergency was declared and we landed safely without any further due incident.
