Narrative:

We were flying along at 7;000 feet; roughly about 15 miles southwest of lga; and what we thought may have been a drone was spotted flying the opposite direction (220 heading) around 500 feet below us. We had no indication of a TCAS warning; and queried ATC if they had anything on the radar and promptly said 'no.' the object was black and small in size. Couldn't really make out much more than that because it happened so fast. Called new york TRACON on the ground and told them what I had seen.
