Descending on the arrival; number 3 engine flamed out. No aircraft vibrations or fire/damage indications. [We] accomplished QRH procedures; engine shutdown; engine restart attempted one time unsuccessfully. Landed; fire crew checked aircraft; no fire/damage indications; received permission from maintenance control to taxi to parking.
