Narrative:

After an NDB approach and field not sighted, a search for the field was made at circle-to-land MDA. This took about 5 min to locate the airport after time to miss had expired. Pilot failed to consider local obstructions in the area. After field was sighted, IFR was cancelled with center by radio.

Narrative: AFTER AN NDB APCH AND FIELD NOT SIGHTED, A SEARCH FOR THE FIELD WAS MADE AT CIRCLE-TO-LAND MDA. THIS TOOK ABOUT 5 MIN TO LOCATE THE ARPT AFTER TIME TO MISS HAD EXPIRED. PLT FAILED TO CONSIDER LOCAL OBSTRUCTIONS IN THE AREA. AFTER FIELD WAS SIGHTED, IFR WAS CANCELLED WITH CENTER BY RADIO.
