Narrative:

On climbout from den, departure advised us to contact company via FSS. Contact advised they believed access door to airstairs (aft) was open and advised return. They asked, and it was noted, there were no warning lights. Return normal and uneventful. Maintenance inspected aircraft at gate and discovered the latch had broken on the access door for the airstairs hookup. Fixed latch and departed for reno.

Title: AIR STAIR ACCESS DOOR LEFT OPEN. FLT DEPARTED BUT WAS ADVISED BY COMPANY GND PERSONNEL TO RETURN. NO LIGHT OR INDICATOR IN COCKPIT.

Narrative: ON CLIMBOUT FROM DEN, DEP ADVISED US TO CONTACT COMPANY VIA FSS. CONTACT ADVISED THEY BELIEVED ACCESS DOOR TO AIRSTAIRS (AFT) WAS OPEN AND ADVISED RETURN. THEY ASKED, AND IT WAS NOTED, THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS. RETURN NORMAL AND UNEVENTFUL. MAINT INSPECTED ACFT AT GATE AND DISCOVERED THE LATCH HAD BROKEN ON THE ACCESS DOOR FOR THE AIRSTAIRS HOOKUP. FIXED LATCH AND DEPARTED FOR RENO.
