Flying at cruise altitude of 34;000 ft; two circuit breakers popped behind me followed by an electrical burning smell. Declared an emergency; diverted; and landed. Everything normal. Forward cargo compartment heaters malfunctioned.

Title: During cruise flight at FL340 an MD-80 crew noticed that 2 circuit breakers had opened followed by an electrical burning smell. An emergency was declared followed by a landing at a diversionary airport.
