Narrative:

At cruise altitude FL390 we received a level 2 gen bus 1 fault alert. Referred to QRH and was commanded to deploy the air driven generator and 'land at nearest suitable airport.' during approach we requested priority handling due to nature of problem at hand. Erroneous stick shaker during final approach due to type of electrical failure. Partial loss of displays on landing; and defog for captain side became inoperative. Used the HUD throughout the flight; which was very helpful. Landing was uneventful. Taxied to the gate.
