Narrative:

In flight we were advised by the purser that we had a hydraulics problems. Captain did not want the purser to tell the rest of the crew; but he did; and all flight attendants were relieved to know. We are all on the same aircraft; information should not be held from us. Near descent; the captain advised us that we would be making an emergency landing and the aircraft would be met by fire/rescue. We were towed to the gate; after touchdown [and] after being checked out by fire department. We did not prepare the cabin as told not likely to evacuate. I was told it was nose gear hydraulics had been damaged and leaked out the fluid.
