Narrative:
I was in a climbing turn while towing a glider. The glider got off tow at 2000'. Since we were briefed for a 2500' release, I levelled off and at that point noticed a high wing small aircraft Y at my same altitude passing in front of me about 300' away. I saw no evasive action on the other aircraft's part.
