Narrative:

I was the captain on air carrier flight xx from toronto to pittsburgh. The flight was a ferry flight (no passenger) as the aircraft was pulled out of service earlier in the day for repair. Upon landing in pittsburgh, we were directed to park the aircraft over at our hangar facility. After waiting more than 30 minutes, keeping the crew on board, customs finally arrived. They indicated to me that they had not been notified of our flight and that this omission would result in a $10000 fine. Although it is my understanding that customs notification is a dispatch function, I was advised that it would be in my best interest to file this report.
