Narrative:

While working local control. The beechjet was handed off to tower 15 miles southwest of the field on an unapproved visual approach. [The airport was] advertising the ILS approach and no prior coordination for the visual was obtained. Release obtained for the super king air 350 off runway xx. Aircraft was told to hold short for traffic crossing through departure corridor. The beechjet was told there would be a departure off runway xx prior to his arrival. The beechjet was turning 3 1/2 mile right base to final out of 1;700 ft descending when the super king air 350 was at the departure end and turning on the SID departure out of 1;500 ft climbing. Visual separation was being applied. After the super king air 350 was switched to departure; I noticed the super king air 350 didn't continue on the SID departure; but turned to the northeast at the beechjet either by the TRACON or pilot initiated. No coordination for turns off the SID departure was obtained by the TRACON. My expectation was that the aircraft join the radial then continue a 160 heading at 2;000 ft not turn northeast at my final. All coordination for other any advertised approach on the ATIS be coordinated prior to aircraft entering our airspace. Coordination for turns in ZZZ airspace be accomplished if taken off the SID. Review and revise the wording of the SID departure off runway xx; this will keep the departure west of the final for runway xy. Although I was applying visual separation I would have exchanged traffic to the departure (the super king air 350) about the arrival (the beechjet). It is unknown at this time whether the super king air 350 deviated off the SID departure on his own.

Title: Tower Controller voiced concern regarding the TRACON issuing a visual approach to an inbound with no prior coordination noting a developing conflict with pattern traffic.
