Narrative:

We were cleared to descend via the jaggr RNAV STAR; landing south; so we put 9;000 ft in the altitude window. As we got closer to the airport they vectored us off the arrival for a downwind for runway 7; specifically to turn five degrees left for runway 7. This put us on a 295 heading. We were not given a revised altitude to descend too. As we were descending through 12;500 ft the controller asked us what altitude we were going to. We replied 9;000 ft because that is what we were cleared to descend to [prior to be vectored off] the arrival. The controller; however; thought he had given us 13;000 ft. He then cleared us to descend to 11;000 ft and we continued to the airport and landed without farther incident.when getting vectored off an RNAV arrival always confirm the cleared altitude with ATC.
