Narrative:
On short final; at about 400 feet after turning final from the expressway visual to runway 31; we were told to go around by lga tower due to a departing aircraft that was not yet airborne. We executed the go-around; advised the passengers and flight attendants; and returned for a normal landing with no further incident.

Title: An ERJ-170 was directed to go around at LGA due to a departing aircraft that had failed to lift off in a timely fashion.
Narrative: On short final; at about 400 feet after turning final from the Expressway Visual to Runway 31; we were told to go around by LGA Tower due to a departing aircraft that was not yet airborne. We executed the go-around; advised the passengers and flight attendants; and returned for a normal landing with no further incident.
